Freediving with EYsailing

While sailing and spending time freediving, we realised that it is not so difficult to adjust yourself and feel comfortable in the water. Exploration should not be restricted to above-surface options; the underwater world is equally beautiful and exciting, especially when you come closer to it in one breath and without equipment.

Freediving is the way to explore the underwater world. Whether you have been freediving for a long time or you only snorkelled, you will have the chance to dive in the “other world” of the Ionian Sea, on isolated reefs, caves, vertical underwater cliffs, or even shallow seas rich in life and excitement! You will also understand in first hand the impact that us humans have on our environment and the Sea and it is our wish and goal to come closer to it and increase your awareness.

Why freediving from EYsailing yacht ?

1.Quick underwater adaptation

The ability to dive in only few minutes after decided, to sleep only a breath-distance away from the water and the “sailing-rhythm”, will make your diving reflex to kick-off straight away, in a way that the exploration of the underwater world will come naturally. Many equalization issues depend on the comfort being underwater. Living in the sea and spending a lot of time in the sea, really makes the body to familiarise and relax. That makes dives more comfortable and easy, overcoming any equalizing and discomfort issues.

2. Plenty of dive time

No time restrictions. From the moment the Sun is up, you can dive. We live on the sea, so when you feel ready, you put your suit on and dive. And of course no time is wasted on transportation, cabin-to-water time is literally few minutes!

3. Diet

During the day, breakfast and lunch is prepared by EYsailing, with fresh and local products only. Freediving oriented diet is an option, so you can focus only on your dives and holiday pleasure.

4. Gear

On board you will find almost everything necessary for your freediving holiday. Weights, belts, proper fins and masks, ropes and buoys or even Skandalopetra ! And of course tools and material for onboard improvements and repairs of your gear. Have a more detailed look here.

5. Sailing

Since you master the water another interesting fluid to master is the wind! During the trip, you will get the basic sailing principles from the EYsailing skippers, including sails trimming, knots, navigation and others.

6. Culture & tourism

Since you sail in Greece you will have the opportunity to experience the beauties of this unique destination. You will visit little picturesque villages and spend nights on anchor in small private bays. Festivals, museums, tavernas will be among our options for the nights at the port.
